The use of children's musical in the process of teaching music

This diploma thesis introduces children's musical as a didactic tool at primary schools. This work maps the influence of creative playwright on the development of musical abilities, skills and creativities. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis defines the term "musical". It briefly describes the origin of the musical as a genre. The practical part brings possibilities of using a musical as a means of an educational process. It provides particular demonstrative situations which lead to development of the crucial competences of the students. The author of the musical is the author of this diploma thesis. She herself translates the music recording, scenario, and methodical material. The method, that has been used for the field research, is a systemic observation which is divided into ten lessons in the form of a project-based learning. This thesis deals with an issue, whether the musical enables an active engagement of the pupils in the musical educational process. The hypotheses, which have been set, are verified by the means of collective reflection from which follows students' higher motivation for musical activity. The realization of the musical positively develops students' attitudes towards music and enables them to react to current trends in the field of musical education. KEYWORDS...
Didactic Potencial of the Project-Based Approach to Teaching Journalistic Style and Media Education at Secondary Schools

The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the possible benefits of the project-based approach to teaching journalistic style and media education at secondary schools on the basis of my own pedagogical practice. The first, theoretical part deals firstly with the role of media and mass media in modern society, with an emphasis on the current state of the media environment in the Czech Republic and the habits of pupils in secondary schools in consuming media content. This is followed by a definition of the concepts of media literacy and media education, a set of publicly available inspirational sources, curricular anchoring of the topic and the perspective of Waldorf pedagogy. A basic insight into the characteristics of journalistic style and project-based learning is also provided. The second part of the thesis is devoted to a description and reflection on the project of creating a class student magazine at the Waldorf Lyceum in Prague. First, the principles of teacher self- evaluation and the principles of the 3A methodology (annotation-analysis-alteration) are introduced, then the genesis and context of the described project, its progress and reflection are described. The Integrated Teaching of Czech Language in Lower Secondary Schools

This thesis deals with the topic of integrated teaching of Czech language in lower secondary School. Its aim was to find out the possibilities and limits of the implementation of this teaching. The data were collected through action research at Na Rohu1 Primary School where the author of this thesis taught three eighth grades' classes for whole year. For more than a year she designed lessons for these classes based on the principles of integration of the components of the Czech language, constructivism, and the communicative principle. These are documented and reflected in this thesis. A secondary goal of this thesis was to observe the possibilities of conducting independent action research in mainstream settings and at a regular elementary school where it could become a means of professional development for teachers. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on the chapters dealing with the mapping of different conceptions of Czech language teaching and the current situation in the Czech Republic and abroad. The diploma thesis focuses on project-based learning and its implementation in the 4th grade of primary school. The theoretical part deals with creation of project-based learning and its definition. Continues to describe the main features and characteristics, summarises the benefits, highlights the pitfalls that may arise and how to prevent them. In the last section, the characteristics of the younger school-age child are presented and summarized. Involvement of family members in project-based learning in primary school

This diploma thesis deals with the involvement of family members in project-based learning in primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part are defined the terms project, project method and project-based learning, types of projects, their phases, the difference between project and integrated thematic teaching and the advantages and disadvantages of the project method. The second part explores the cooperation and communication between the school and the family, the definition of relevant concepts, the roles that parents can take concerning the school, the building of relations between the school and the family, the expectations that the family and the school can have between them, the involvement of family members in teaching and the forms in which cooperation can be implemented. The empirical part deals with the preparation and realization of three projects that were realized at three different schools. Improvised tools in physics teaching

The thesis deals with methods of working with pupils using improvised experiments. At the beginning of the thesis, the theoretical background of teaching physics with teaching aids is presented. These theoretical principles are then tested by pupils in school practice with specific experiments. These experiments are included in the practical part, which is complemented by audiovisual documentation, detailed analysis and final self-reflection on the experiment. The conclusion discusses the results of these experiments and the methods used. Additionally, a questionnaire survey focused on the teacher's approach to physics teaching and the use of improvised aids before, during and after distance learning during the Covid-19 epidemic complements the thesis.
Our own state - an educational project for the lower secondary education

This diploma thesis focuses on the project-based learning as a complex teaching method and its possible application in lower-secondary school education. The aim of this thesis is to create an educational project focused on a chosen theme from the field of "Human and Society" and its verification in practice. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and analytical. Theoretical part interprets information about contemporary expert views on the project-based learning considering its possible application within the educational field "Human and Society", particularly in the field of Civics. The theoretical part deals with these chapters - the history of the project-based learning, what is a project, what is the project method, what is the project-based learning and the use of the project method in civic education. The analytical parts deals with a complex educational project applicable in lower-secondary school education which concentrates on selected themes from these educational units: "Human, state and economy", "Human, state and legal system" and "International relations, global world". The project was applicated at lower secondary school and it is evaluated in accordance with methodological principles of action research.
Pop-art Elements in Art-Project Education at Primary School

This theoretical project-based thesis focuses on application of pop art in art education at primary school. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first one describes the origin and development of pop art and the second is focused on pop art prom the perspective of didactics of art education. The project part of the thesis is divided into six lessons, which are part of the art series named Quick Trips for Pop Art to Museums and Galleries of Modern Art. The topics of the lessons are mediated in a playful way and designed to use various art techniques.

Krátká, M.: My city a century ago [Diploma Thesis] Praha 2014 - Charles University, Faculty of Education, Art Education Department, 135 p. The diploma thesis focuses on cross-curricular connection of two educational areas; The Art and Culture - Art education and "Man and His World". The thesis also analyzes textbooks of the "Man and His World" educational area and determines how and to what extent it is focused on the theme of home, region, the past, identity of subject and places of public area. The empirical part consists of an educational project closely linking the curriculum of art education with curriculum of the subject "Man and His World". It focuses on primary education and it's goal is to effectively educate children about the history of the town they live in using interdisciplinary approach. The educational project is based on theoretical findings stated in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. It is also set to the context of contemporary art but in comparison to modern art it seems to be based more traditionally. Title: Using elements of art education in teaching German as a foreign language (with a focus on drama pedagogy and work with picture book "Queen of Colour" by Jutta Bauer) Summary: My thesis is focused on integration of aesthetic elements into a German language lesson. Such elements help to improve students' language resources and language skills and they also help to develop their personality. The subject of my work is relation between the language and art - particular art education, namely dramatic, musical, and literary - partly - art education and their application in a foreign language lesson. This thesis is based on the theory of drama pedagogy and on analysis of an authentic foreign language literary text, namely on the picture book genre. The topics in the practical section are taken from artistic sources and were tested in particular sample lessons.
